Welcome back to another GREAT school year! I am really looking forward to this year and all it has to offer for my students! Here are all of the concert dates for the Woods Orchestra this year. Please note thal not all concerts apply to all orchestra students. Please check carefully to see which concerts apply to your child(ren). All concerts will be in the Gymnasium at Woods, unless otherwise noted. The DRESS CODE for concerts is concert black, which is a white shirt, black pants, black socks, and black shoes. Please avoid t-shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, shorts, and tank tops. If your child cannot attend a concert in which he/she is performing, please let me know as soon as possible. If a student must miss a concert and lets me know ahead of time, he/she will do a required make-up assignment. Students need to report to the orchestra room 15 minutes before the start of evening concerts. There will be required books for each grade level this year. Please make sure your student has these books as soon as possible.
- 5th & 6th Grade- Essential Elements 2000 for Strings Book 1 (for chosen instrument)
- 7th & 8th Grade- Essential Techniques 2000 for Strings 1 (for chosen instrument)

Also for the 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra, we have Junior High Clinic November 2nd & 3rd. It will be held at Natrona County High School this year. More details about this event will be coming soon.
The 7th Grade Orchestra students will also be playing for 8th Grade Graduation this year. This is usually scheduled for the last Thursday of the school year. I will have more details on this event when it comes closer to the end of the school year.
