MS Quebec Trip Information

Information and Meeting

Attached is a quote from EF/Smithsonian for their trip to Quebec, based on a late April departure (which could be changed to June).  The price has increased since last year, and the price will increase for any who sign up after September 1.  Other costs may include an extra travel day (to avoid a red-eye flight or late arrival), as well as travel to, and possible lodging in, Denver.  The informational sheet will tell more about what the trip covers and doesn’t cover.

The following questions, as well as any others, will be addressed at a meeting on Monday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. Students are welcome at this meeting, but it is not necessary that they be there. If you can’t make the meeting, but would like information, or want to offer input, please let Mr. Gaither know.

1. How many people (students and parents) are interested in going on the trip to Quebec? (We will need at least twelve participants for the trip to happen.)

2. Should the trip be taken during the school year or in June?

3. If the trip is taken during the school year, what should be the academic expectation of participants and non-participants?

4. What should happen to the traditional Denver trip?  Denver + Quebec + MS day trip would mean taking away nine classroom days in the last quarter.

5. What should be the fundraising expectations for this trip?  How would that fit with a Denver trip and other fundraising?
