Parent Roles:
- Sending kids to school ready to learn
- Helping with homework/projects
- Accountability of what qualifies as hours at parent-teacher conferences.
- Review contract-clarification of what qualifies as hours
- More efficient way to log hours online?
- Additional volunteer hours that are not school day hours-i.e. weekends
- Inform parents of more at home opportunities
- More detailed job description especially for new parents-this could be done at the start of school
- Ensure that new parents get in contact with a family to inform them of everything them might not know
- Parent/child project
- Gather a list from parents of their special skills-to benefit the school
- Specific volunteer opportunities on pod newsletters
- Parent Action Committee to attend school district meetings as Woods voice in our school direction.-PAC keeps parents informed of NCSD meetings.
- Parents sign up for different months.
- Different classrooms could try different methods to get an idea of what works.
